LAWAH is a collective of Latin American Women Artists working in the greater Houston Area since 2017.
A group of artists joined together to amplify their networks, advance in their artistic careers, create a like-minded supportive community, and share their experiences as immigrants.
Our members come from 8 different Latin American countries: Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela.
LAWAH Collective has grown and seeks a more powerful voice in the Houston arts community by expanding the Latino narrative through its artistic contributions. It is actively looking for opportunities to collaborate and create art that would enrich Houston’s cultural history.
