LOURDES LAVALLE
Lourdes Lavalle was born in México City, México. She resided in Houston, Texas for 20 years and just moved to Dallas. She has a Bachelors Degree in Finance and Business, and her professional career was in International Financial Institutions.
It was in Houston where she made the decision to follow her passion for art and painting. She acquired then, a formal education at The Glassell School of Art of the MFAH. She has participated in different exhibitions in Texas as well as other States in the Country. Her work embodies a series of Geometric Abstractions, using oil on canvas and medium to large scale. Her paintings engage the observer and the artist in a dynamic interaction, where the shapes, spaces, lines and colors take the viewer in a journey of experiences where the complexity of the geometric abstraction is found.
Lourdes Lavalle nació en la Ciudad de México, México. Vivió en Houston, Texas durante 20 años y actualmente reside en la ciudad de Dallas. Obtuvo la Licenciatura en Finanzas y Administración de Empresas, desarrollándose profesionalmente en Instituciones Financieras Internacionales.
Fue en Houston en donde tomo la decisión de seguir su pasión por el arte y la pintura, adquiriendo su educación formal en The Glassell School of Art del MFAH. Ha participado en diversas exhibiciones en Texas y otros estados. Su obra esta formada por una serie de Abstracciones Geométricas, usando óleo sobre tela y en dimensiones de mediana a gran escala. Sus pinturas comprometen al observador y al artista en una interacción dinámica, en donde las formas, los espacios, las líneas y los colores llevan al espectador en una jornada de experiencias en donde se percibe la complejidad de la abstracción geométrica.
