MARINA FERNANDEZ
Marina Fernandez is an Argentine Industrial Engineer who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Universidad Catolica Argentina.
Her art is intimately related to her life’s journey, from her origins in a rural town of Buenos Aires to her present life in Texas.
Her work reflects her feelings and experiences gathered throughout an itinerant life that crosses cultures, languages, and ideologies, having lived in Asia for over fifteen years. In addition, her technical training as an engineer remains at the core of her perception and enlightens her creative process. Simultaneously wild and contained, her paintings derive from an abstraction of spaces that surround her and are expressed in their utmost geometric essence.
She is a current student at The Glassell School of Art from the Museum of Fine Arts Houston where she has found a strong and passionate community of artists and teachers.

Su arte está íntimamente ligado a su vida, desde sus inicios en un pueblo rural de Buenos Aires hasta su presente en Texas.
Su trabajo refleja sus sentimientos y experiencias que fue recogiendo a lo largo de una vida itinerante, que abarca culturas, lenguas e ideologías por haber vivido en Asia más de quince años. Además, su formación técnica como Ingeniera es vital en su percepción y enriquece su proceso creativo. A la vez salvaje y contenida, su pintura se origina en la abstracción de espacios que la rodean expresándose en su máxima esencia geométrica.
Actualmente estudia en The Glassell School of Art del Museo de Arte de Houston donde ha encontrado una comunidad de artistas y maestros que comparten su pasión.
