NORA BENALCAZAR
My artworks are an attempt to express my feelings, emotions, dreams, and memories. My paintings are inspired by my environment and senses. Nature has always been a big source of inspiration; the infinite horizon and it’s rising sun, special and mundane objects, and other forces of nature inspire me to create balanced and interesting compositions.
Lately, reflecting upon my childhood memories has allowed me to reconstruct and put together fragments of time that have marked my life deeply. I use these distant memories to construct my artwork.
I mainly focus on shapes, colors, textures, and movements in my paintings. My goal is to compose an abstract space where everyone can sail and enjoy those recollections.
A través de mis obras de arte, yo intento expresar mis sentimientos, emociones, sueños y recuerdos. Mis pinturas están inspiradas en mi entorno y mis sentidos. La naturaleza siempre ha sido una gran fuente de inspiración; el horizonte infinito y el sol al amanecer, objetos especiales y mundanos y otras fuerzas de la naturaleza me inspiran a crear composiciones equilibradas e interesantes.
Últimamente, reflexionar sobre los recuerdos de mi infancia me ha permitido reconstruir y armar fragmentos de ese tiempo que han marcado profundamente mi vida. Yo utilizo estos recuerdos lejanos para construir mis obras de arte.
Mi enfoque principal está en las formas, colores, texturas y movimiento en mis pinturas. Mi objetivo es componer un espacio abstracto donde todos puedan navegar y disfrutar estos recuerdos.
