VIVIANA NIMO

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I studied at the Catholic University where I finished a BA in Ed.
Then started and quit Art criticism. I studied art privately with different local artists. Later I continued
with this trend in Mexico, and finally in Houston I finished my MEd at the University of St Thomas, after
taking different informal art workshops , I started my art studies at Glassell School of Art.

Artist Statement
The space expressed in my canvas is that of my mind. I like to experiment using acryllic and photographs
usually from a camera either black and white or color. I use photo transfer or collage. There is a
narrative in each one, and it is my desire to have a conversation with the viewer. As a woman artist I
support the women’s independence and involvement. Lately I am in a stage of profound respect for
Nature. What comes up is an interpretation of what is around me now.
